How to wash it for the first time:
1. Soak in warm water with a little bit of mild dish soap for 5 minutes.
2. Rub gently with your hands on both sides until it feels clean.
3. Rinse with regular running water until there’s no soapy feel.
4. Dry well: shake off water, pat with a lint free towel or tissue, then air dry completely for a while. after that, you can put it back in the tin.
Everyday care:
you don’t have to wash every single time. just use a brush to wipe out the powder & it will fall right off and you can just put it back. before you put it back and close the case, you just have to make sure the sifter is completely dry, no moisture left, so it won’t trap humidity inside.
do a normal hand wash about once a week or every two weeks. no need to soak in warm water for routine cleans. just wash, rinse, and dry well.
